'Myself and Hugh . . . We're taking a break.'

'A city-with-fancy-food sort of break?'

If only.

Amy's husband Hugh says he isn't leaving her.

He still loves her, he's just taking a break - from their marriage, their children and, most of all, from their life together.

Six months in South-East Asia. And nothing she says can stop him.

But when does a break become a break-up?

For a lot can happen in six months. And it's enough to send Amy and her family of gossips, misfits and troublemakers teetering over the edge.

When Hugh returns, if he returns, will he be the same man she married?

Will Amy be the same woman?

Because if Hugh is on a break from their marriage, then isn't she?

Enjoyable and light. A good amount of drama. Couldn’t put it down and had it finished in 3 days. Back to reality now!

I felt like I took this journey with Amy. The characters are not black and white, they are full of loveable and dislikable qualities that have you riding an emotional roller coaster throughout the entire book. I loved it. Especially the ending.
  • Beautifully written, authentic & heart warming

    By Food'Flowers
I started this book thinking it would be a light distracting interval from a lengthy history book I was only half way through at the time. But I was totally blown away by the beautifully written, heart warming and very charming story within its pages. So authentic and so captivating, always with a constant thread of whit and humour which only the Brits & Irish do so well. I was totally drawn into the lives of the characters. They are well developed and again very authentic. I giggled, I cried, I felt anger I felt elation and in the end, it all made so much sense and my heart was so warmed. Love LOVE LOVE!,,
